Could this collection have been anymore drab, un-inspiring, cliché of menswear? I would hope not, but image after image after image of Haitze Spaanenburg’s collection proved otherwise. Rolling up pants legs and sleeves on shirts a collection does not make. A bit of color or little more complexity in the design could of even helped this ‘calling out for help’ collection, but I guess Haitze’s simplicity in the end is what manifested from the drawing table to the catwalk. Better luck next time…eh?

khalid added these pithy words on Jan 06 08 at 12:57 pmI must say I am very surprised by this review that you gave Haitze’s collection.
A cry of help maybe but just to actually help and support the Dutch market by bringing severity into it as it suffers from commercial nonsense happenings like the off schedule was.
In international fashion that actually matters Haitze is of all designers that showed leading in international experience and knowledge. You should see as a beginner in this field that he based his collection on reality and existence other than slamming a few tricks of color and shape in there like suggested above.
Knowing the field of fashion very well and working professionally in it internationally for many years I blame the person of writing such a rediculous article and daring to publish it. Also be considerate to yourself and bare in mind that reviews as such might reflect very bad on yourself in case he makes career in the future. He is one to watch and has had influences that go far beyond your provincial opinion matters. In all respect,
