
Let’s face it, outside of Tokyo, getting these Japanese designs are pretty hard. Sometimes even when you’re in Tokyo, you’ll be hard pressed to get anything being shown during Japan Fashion Week. New York designers, Milan, and Paris are not that difficult with the exception of the smaller more obscure designers. For the most part though, you’ll have to really look hard online to find the designer of your liking based out of Japan. So it really hurts the heart somewhat when you find a designer like Mikio Sakabe and her big knit scarves that are so appealing for the fall and you can do little to have it. I’m hoping that Sakabe crosses the vast shores and starts selling her wares here in Hong Kong, and even for US readers (though you guys already have plenty).
