Ritu Beri Wins Major French Fashion Award
Ever heard of Ritu Beri? No? Well now you have. According to President Sarkozy of France and a bunch of other French diplomats Ritu Beri is entirely worthy of winning the Chevalier Des Arts et Des Lettres. She was the first Asian to head the French design house Scherer, made beautiful wedding dresses and designed for the likes of Bill Clinton, Prince Charles, Moulin Rouge, Nicole Kidman. Beri has shown during Paris fashion week and is also an accomplished author. (ed note: Is there anything she hasn’t done?) Beri is scheduled to receive the French award on October 21st from the French Ambassador to India.
