Vogue UK has apparently caught the Ana Sekularac bug and not a second too late. Yes, we’ve evangelized Sekularac with fervent rapture. We’ve covered her clothes, talked to her and obsessed about her pieces. So imagine our collective surprise when we found on the Vogue UK website this morning a mention that our muse may be coming to the shores of the US (and perhaps beyond?). They article light douses the flames with water though as they state that Sekularac is still focused on the London market and is looking to work there first before going headfirst everywhere else. So we’re happy for you Ana!

A collection of more hits than misses. Ana Sekularac’s spring/summer ‘08 compilation of looks gives the term ‘power dressing’ a new meaning.

Luxurious fabrics, dramatic colours of red and black, architectural tailoring and geometric shape, and an impeccable attention to detail. All these attributes are evident throughout the recent collection of Ana Sekularac. Sekularac’s recent collection is very reminiscent of what Marlene Dietrich and Joan Crawford would have light up the silver screen with back in the 1930s.
British born, but of Serbian origin, Ana Sekularac has worked in practically ever facet of the fashion industry from modeling for Gianfranco Ferrer and Miu Miu, to assisting the editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine, to designing her own collection. All of Ms. Sekularac’s designs embodies the craftsmanship of a couture designer, creating in her own atelier. Each piece is finished by hand and she gives particular attention to each unique detail. Ana’s Autumn/Winter ’07 collection, a gift to the strong and intelligent woman’s wardrobe, naturally exudes power and femininity.
