Beijing Fashion

They’re taking over. China is the center of all manufacturing in the world. If your clothes are not made in China (and a few other low cost countries), then chances are your clothes are very expensive. The perennial problem has been though that the design world in the past has been not existent. One did not go to China for original fashion, Louis Vuitton knockoffs were the order of the day. The tide in beginning to turn in that regard. Students at the Beijing ESMOD Fashion and Art College held a fashion show on June 15, 2008 that highlighted their work. What’s more important is that the work is coming from the first batch of graduates at the college.

They can get better. Which is a scary thought considering how good the original designs were in the first place. No more copying here (at least not from the students)
